Yes man is very strong, greater than God’s
When you were deceived by Adam And Eve
You drove them out of Paradise
When Noah’s generation displeased you
You brought down the flood
When Sodom no longer found
favor in your eyes

Freak The Mighty
Rodman Philbrick
The author’s purpose of writing the book was to tell about a boy who thinks he can’t do anything without his friend freak but he realizes that he can do things by hisself.
The intended audience for this book is Kevin because he goes threw alot between him and his father and him and his mom being murdered.
I rate this book a 10
Above you rated this book. Explain in detail why you gave this book that score.
I gave this book a 10 because 1st its sad at the fact that a young boy had to witness his father killing his mother and the fact that the father tried to kill his son. 2nd when the son moved with his grandparents he met his new friend named freak and he helped Max with his school work and other things now freak he was disable but he was a total person from the dictionary i said that because he talks like hes reading from the dictionary when freak died Max felt like he couldn’t do anything because freak was gone.
1. What was you reaction to the film Bullied?
My reaction was that it was very sad and i felt very bad for him because nobody shouldn’t have to go threw things like he did. When he tried to tell his principal she didn’t do anything and he felt like she should have done something but she didn’t and that was totally wrong because as a principal you should have done something.
2.Do Jamie Nabozny’s experiences remind you of moments in your life? Do you see bullying happening at FLC?
Yes it really does because my aunt went threw the samething when she was little and when i watched the movie i thought about my aunt because she was just telling me the story of how she was being bullied when she was in high school all because she was bisexual.I honestly don’t see bullying happening in FLC and that’s a good thing because school should be a place where you could be safe and not worry about anybody bullying you.
3.In Algebra 1, we collected data, which informed us that a significant percentage of our classmates think bullying is a problem at FLC. What do you see as potential solutions to bullying at our school?
I see that it’s really not a big deal for our school because alot of people is into there work and doing what they have to do and there’s a big percentage of people that are really understanding of people of who they are and where they come from so that’s what I in our school about bullying.
1.)I think the germans chose to hang the prisoners at that time because since they was doing that to other people they could do the same to the others all because they was Jews.
2.)His relationship has changed because in the book they was close but they wasnt as close as they were in the end. The causes from the change was because of when the mothers and sisters had to be separted from the fathers and the sons so that drew them together even more.
3.)He means when he says “the inheritance” that what ever he do hes inheritanced.
4.)His faith was affeceted because of his father being sick or out of strength and he felt like he couldnt do anything but as he can see now he can do anything.
5.)He does it by killing the people inside the wagon. His actions shows that he would kill anybody if they don’t do what they are suppose to do.
6.)The conflicts are that hes dieing, he has lack of strength and last that he had no more power in him at all.
7.)On January 28,1945 Elie’s father dies. Elie’ emotional state is that he was very sad he didn’t have nobody else to be with.
8.)That sentence means that his father never left his side nor left his eyesight.
9.)He was trying to keep away from the story by not telling what happens to him and his family but at a time he does tell what happens. Elie has been very successful by between the things that happened hum and his father and his mother sister
10.)The meaning of the title Night is a suffering of worst that comes at night and it symbolizes Elie’s belief that he lives in a world without God.
Passage 1:”through long days and nights he went from one Jewish house to another telling the story of Malka the young girl who had taken three days to die and of Tobias the tailor who had begged to be killed before his sons.”(4)
Reaction:My reaction to this would be that I felt sad because they had to be killed and its sad that have to starve because they wont feed them and there feet are aching tired because of lack of sleep and lastly they are young girls being killed and people are dieing.
Passage 2:”that same day the Hungarian police burst into all the Jewish houses in the street.A Jew no longer had the right to keep in his house gold, silver,or any objects of value.(8)
Reaction:I felt sad because if you have something valuable to you or your family you will want to keep it safe but no since they were Jews they couldnt keep anything like that.
Passage 3:”my father had accompanied the deportees as far as the entrance of the ghetto they first had to go through the big synagogue where they were minutly searched to see that they were not taking aways any gold,silver.(15)
Reaction:I felt that that was knd of wrong because if a family want s to have there things then they should. Also because I think that when you have something that been in your family for so long then you should be able to keep it.
Passage 4:”when I came to the back of the building I heard a noise coming from a little room next door. I went up andsaw Idek with a young polish girl half naked on a mattress (54)
Reaction:I personally think that was wrong for what Idek did because the girl was young and the fact that there were other people there and that you had a job to do and it wasnt the time to do that.
Passage 5:”ater a long moment of waiting the executioner put the rope around his neck.He was on the point of motioning to his assistants to draw the chair away from the prisoners feet when the latter cried in a clam strong voice.(59)
Reaction:I felt very sad of the fact that they were putting ropes around peoples neck and that they were scared of what might happen to them.
Passage 6:my father presence was the only thing that stopped me..He was running at my side out of breath at the end of his strengh of his wit’s end I had no right to let myself die. What would he do without me?I was his only support.(82)
Reaction:It was kind of sad because the boy and his father was tired and and that the boys father was out of strengh everytime the father would rest he thought his father would die and just think thats very sad.
1.Elie discribed hisself by telling who he is and what his life was like before he had to move from where he was at.
2.Moshe the Beadle is the master of Elie.
3.The town responed to his stories because when he tells stories they are very engaged to what he is talking about.
4.He starts that by telling what has happened to his family and the other people that lives there and that how they have to be separted from there family.
5.They took over the Sighet by having a meeting and telling the father that they have to get out of there house first thing in the morning.
6.They were separted because the men had to go to the right and the women had to go the left and the men had to to this camp were there are barracks of wire around them.
7.They took away their things because they could ahve escape, and they cut their hair off because the could have hidden things in there like food. They tattoo a number on them so they can identify them.
8.It means that he had a long night he never thought it would end.
9.My personal reflection is that I feel bad about how they are being treated and what they are goin threw about their families, what they can and can’t do that just wrong. Also it’s sad because the families are scared of being killed and they are already separted from their wife and daughter so some just have themselves and others have their sons. It’s just sad to see what is happening to them this far in the book.
What I have learned so far is that the Jews had more discrimination because of there race, ethnic or national reasons. Also that there’s 1% of the population are Jews I would have never thought of that. Nazi’s killed millions of people and that 1,500,00 children has also have been murdered.
For the major project I would be likely doing the first one that talks about writing a fictional journal of one character in the book. The steps that I would have to take is that collecting all of my information and data about the one character and start writing a fictional book of the character.
My reflection of the film so far is that there were alot of hate discrimination and physical attack betwwen the Jews because back then they blamed the Jews for everything that had happened to them. I think Szpilman identifies himself as a musican now because thats what he loves to do and he really doesnt care so much as being a Jew because he’s doing something that he loves to do.
Yes there is a fallacy because people (boys/men) are wearing saggy jeans and its not cute and they can really get in jail because of that. The sterotype is that when we see somebody doing or saying something we began to do it also.My reaction would be that if your pants has hoops on them put a belt on nobody wants to see what kind of underwear you have that your business not nobody else and lastly wearing your jeans saggy you wont get a job thats the end of it that =s my reaction to it.
I think that this story will appeal to high school students because there is alot of things that happen in high school with other people. I give two reasons by when kids are new the kids at the school makes trouble with the new kids and cant do anything or dont know anything about the school all because the kids want to make fun of the new kids because there not new anymore.
Appearance: Aphrodite is a gorgeous, perfect, eternally young woman with a beautiful body.
Aprhodite’s Symbol or Attribute: Her Girdle, which has magical powers to compel love.
Strengths: Potent sexual attractiveness, dazzling beauty.
Weaknesses: A bit stuck on herself, but with a perfect face and body, who can blame her?
Aphrodite’s Parents: One genealogy gives her parents as Zeus, King of the Gods, and Dione, an early earth/mother goddess. More commonly, she was believed to be born of the foam in the sea which bubbled around the severed member of Ouranos when Kronos slew him.
Aphrodite’s Birthplace: Rising from the foam off of the islands of Cyprus or Kythira. Milos, where the famed Venus de Milo was found, is also associated with her in modern times.
Aprhodite’s Husband: Hephaestus, the lame smith-god. Also associated with Ares, god of War.
Children: Eros, a Cupid-like figure.
Some Major Temple Sites of Aphrodite: Kythira, an island she visited; Cyprus.
Basic Story: Aphrodite rises from the foam of the waves of the sea, enchanting anyone who sees her and inciting feelings of love and lust wherever she goes. She is a contender in the story of the Golden Apples, when Paris chooses her as the fairest of the three goddesses (the others were Hera and Athena) and Aphrodite decides to “reward” him for giving her the Golden Apple (the prototype of most modern awards) by giving him the love of Helen of Troy, something of a mixed blessing that led to the Trojan War.
Interesting Fact: The island of Cyprus has many places believed to have been enjoyed by Aphrodite when she was on earth. Recently, the Cypriots have revived a tourist-friendly version of some of Aphrodite’s festivals at the town of Paphos.
